The link between the Walpole Wilderness area and the Stirling Ranges will be particularly challenging as there are few large areas of natural vegetation on which to rebuild the link. However Green Skills Inc., a non-profit community organisation actively involved in sustainability and biodiversity issues, have taken up the challenge of starting the work. With funding provided by The Wilderness Society and Dara Foundation, Green Skills have initiated a project which will review and summarize the scientific and planning knowledge for the area with a particular focus on building the basis for a long term program of establishing natural ecosystem linkages. |
